Restraining Orders are available to anyone who experiences harassing, threatening, or physical violence by another person. A Restraining Order is usually in place for a short period of time; but can be longer or, in some cases, extend to a year or be permanent.

With respect to these types of Orders, and so long as there is a clause in the Order directing so, the person who the Order is made against can be arrested if he or she is in breach of the Order for any number of a variety of reasons, ensuring that you and your children remain safe.
